Join HUG Open Studios, a series of casual, virtual drop-in sessions designed to help you get that project over the finish line or inspire something entirely new.

Led by Michael Littig, Director of Creator Programming at HUG, these sessions provide a serene, “library-like” atmosphere where creators can work alongside others, drawing motivation from the collective energy of a focused community.

*Program participation is free after completion of a standard assignment at the end of the program

MINDFULNESS & FOCUS

Each session begins with a short, guided mindfulness exercise to clear your mind and center your creative energy.

CREATIVE FRAMEWORK

Michael will introduce an optional creative framework to help inspire and guide your work, whether you're looking to finalize a project or try something completely new.

DEDICATED CREATIVE TIME

After the initial warm-up, the space is yours. Use the time as you see fit—whether it’s tackling the last stages of a project or experimenting with fresh ideas.

 SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY

Work in the company of like-minded creatives, sharing energy and focus without any pressure to collaborate—just create.

PROGRAM CURRICULUM

For 2 weeks, you'll have a 60-minute session every Tuesday and Thursday at 11AM ET.

  • In this first workshop, we’ll introduce the framework of Open Studios and set goals for our time together.

  • In an effort to spark creativity, Michael will introduce a creative challenge as a primer to the session to help keep you on track.

  • In this final workshop, we’ll review our work and strategize next steps based on what we discovered.

PARTICIPATION

HUG believes that in order to complete an assignment, you need to have skin in the game. Priced at $20 USD, the registration deposit fosters accountability and skin-in-the-game.

Upon completion of a standard assignment at the end of the program, 100% of your registration fee will be refunded.

FAQ

  • The 10-day program will take place Nov 12th - 21st, 2024.

    Live sessions will take place Nov 12, 14, 19, 21, from 11AM-12PM ET.

  • During the two weeks from Nov 12th - Nov 21st, 2024, the cohort will meet live a total of 4 times for 60 minutes each on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11AM ET.

    Creatives will also have creative and strategic assignments to help spark their practice. Typical participation requires a total of 2 hours per week.

  • Participants are not required to attend live, as each workshop will be recorded. However, each session may incorporate breakout rooms and interactive discussions to foster collaboration and support, so participants will likely reap additional benefits from live participation.

  • We will allocate time in our live workshops for questions.
